Do you love Lovecraft ?

Howard Phillips "H. P." Lovecraft (August 20, 1890 – March 15, 1937) was an American author of horror, fantasy and science fiction, especially the subgenre known as weird fiction. In recent years I've become an avid Lovecraft fan, and absorb Mythos Media at a probably unhealthy rate.
Though his use of language may be outdated, and his writing a little dry, Lovecraft is a master of subtle horror, and in my opinion grossly underappreciated by modern readers (As well as most readers of his era -  He died broke, for such a prolific amount of work he did).

Many of our modern day writer's have been influenced by the many eerie works of Mr. Lovecraft, including Stephen King, Bentley Little, Joe R. Lansdale, Alan Moore, Junji Ito, F. Paul Wilson, Brian Lumley, and Neil Gaiman.

So if creepy little towns, deranged locals, and alien horrors sound like it may be your cup of tea, pick up a copy of any one of his books, or compilations (I recommend starting with his infamous story "The Call of Cthulhu") and you'll never look into the night sky the same way ever again. Best thing about Lovecrafts stories are alot of them are now public domain, so you can snag them fo free here on the internet !

Hey, couldn't hurt...or could it ? :)
